The Kearney crew is back in action. Kearney Elite 17 Black challenged itself in the Open division at the ASICS Presidents’ Day Classic, allowing emergent athletes like Scheribel to prove themselves among the region’s best. We’ve had this explosive middle blocker on our radar for a while, but Sheribel has made further strides on the 17s circuit. She readily takes on M1 responsibilities and stretches the offense in two-hitter rotations. Central Nebraska is quickly establishing a foothold on the club side.

Kearney Elite is loaded in the middle. Scheribel makes an immediate impact when she rotates into the front row and has more range than you’d expect from a middle blocker. Her agility is perhaps her best asset, allowing her to keep pace with quick offenses on the other side of the net. Regional venues like the GPR Gold Series will be invaluable for keeping tabs on rural gems like Scheribel, so last weekend’s event was just the beginning of our coverage.
