Bob Abels | Prep Dig Scout
Evelyn led West Springfield to the state bracket, hitting over 50 percent of the team’s sets. She finished third in the State of Virginia for kills. All this hitting eventually wore on her as she tore her ACL early in the club season.
Evelyn is the rare right hander who hits from the right side. Early, in her club career she started as a setter. Eventually, her contributions became greater as a right side, especially after growing to 6’2″.
Prior to her injury Virginia Elite was one of the top three clubs in the Chesapeake Region. Her offensive contributions were difficult to replace after she went down.
Evelyn has committed to New Hampshire.

Moved from 13 to 10. Evelyn proved a dominant right side for West Springfield. She almost single handedly got them into the state playoffs hitting bombs from the front row and back row. Close to 48 percent of all sets during the season went to Evelyn and her 601 kills accounted for 56 percent of the team’s kills.
This coming season the New Hampshire commit will play for Virginia Elite. She normally plays as a six rotation right side. Not many players can hit out of system sets as well as Evelyn.
