Marine has been a primary offensive weapon for Aspire NW 16-1 Empire this season and will be a crucial piece of the team’s lineup as they battle in the 16 Freedom division at USAV Nationals. When attacking on the outside, her aggressive step close and high vertical jump are on full display. With a fast arm swing and snap, when she connects with the ball it is hard to defend.

Marine, an outside hitter for Aspire NW 16-1, combines an explosive approach with a hammer of an arm to bury the ball deep into the court. Although the pin hitter is undersized, she is nevertheless very effective, using her solid vertical to make a high contact on the ball. Marine can turn the ball down the line or put it away deep cross court effortlessly, showing her versatility as an attacker.

Marine made a major impression on us when watching her play at the Top 250 Expo this past fall. She proved she is a well-rounded six-rotation outside hitter. With an explosive approach coupled with a high vertical jump, she is an offensive threat from anywhere on the court. She had an outstanding high school season with Portland Christian, receiving Northwest First Team All-League and 2A Second Team All-State. Rarely seen off the court, she led the Royals to a 2A state championship, even serving the match-winning ace. This club season, she is playing for the Aspire NW 16-1 Empire team, where she is sure to be a major impact for them.

Marine, a 5’9” outside hitter from Portland Christian, was an impressive athlete to see in action at the Top 250 Expo. She was explosive on the attack, with standout jumping abilities, she flies. Compounding that with a powerful and heavy arm, she proved hard to stop during game play. She was confident across the backcourt, making great defensive reads to keep the ball alive. She improved leaps and bounds this past high school season and will be an exciting one to keep an eye on this club season with Apsire 16-1.
