How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a confident player. I go for every single ball, even when they are tough. I push through long rallies or games, looking for the best opportunities to make the right moves. I trust myself and my teammates to play as a team instead of as individuals.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am a a mentally tough person on and off the court. Even in tough spots of the game, I keep my head up and focus on the future plays and the not the past plays. When I am off the court, I take time to look back at film and see what I could have done better or what I should keep doing. Bringing up my friends, family, and teammates is one of my biggest priorities!

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Outside of volleyball, I have found that I know how and when to stand up for what is right when appropriate. This goes hand in hand with another thing I have gotten over the years, communication. Even though something may be uncomfortable, I will always bring it up in hopes of helping myself or others to feel better or get clarity of something.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

When I was 2 years old, my dad passed away. Since then, my mom moved us 3,000 miles away from Alaska to a place where we knew nobody. Growing up with a single mom, I’ve gained a very strong perspective on life. My older sister is autistic, and I’ve had to adjust to any of the hardships that come with that fact as well.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a bigger college somewhere warm and south that is known for their good academics, as well as their hardworking volleyball team. I am looking forward to finding a school that will help me launch a life that I can enjoy and find gratification with as well as give back to my community.
