Skopljak featured for the Dallas Skyline 17 Royal – Ping team that qualified for Nationals after securing five wins and three losses and ending the event in fifth place. She was very solid offensively, showing great court vision and excellent resources to beat blockers. Skopljak was very consistent with her swings, demonstrating excellent variation to adjust to different sets on the right. Her blocking was also very reliable as she managed to get her arms well above the net and was very aggressive at pressing opponents.

Miss Skopljak is currently ranked as the 72^nd best overall prospect in the 2027 class according to our Texas State Rankings but will be moving up a lot in the next update from what I saw from her this past club season and during the showcase.  She plays volleyball at Plano Senior High School and also for the MadFrog volleyball club.  The versatile right side/middle proved to be a stud in all aspects of the game on Sunday.  What I loved about watching Gabbie play was that she was all smiles throughout the entire showcase and this told me a lot about her positive personality.  You can tell that she truly loves to play this game and enjoys the tough competition.  It also showed me a lot about her character as she came up and introduced herself to me.  Confidence and great communication will go a long way when talking to college coaches in the recruiting process.  As far as on the court, she was phenomenal at the net.  Her amazing vertical and power played a huge part in shutting down opposing attackers and killing the ball with authority.  I am going to have a lot of fun in moving her in the rankings when I update them, so stay tuned to see where she falls. Please help us congratulate her on earning a Top Performer award at our showcase. 

Gabbie is very well known to us at Prep Dig as she is currently listed as the 72^nd best overall player in the class of 2027 Texas State Ranking List.  I have watched Miss Skopljak many times this club season and I cannot wait to update the list because I know she will be moving up as well.  It will be very good to watch her battle in our drills to give me an even better understanding of what her true potential really is.  This uncommitted national champion will be highlighted by us many times in the very near future based on how hard she competes.  I cannot wait to see how she raises the level of competition at this showcase.  We will be putting her against some of the top players to see how she fares.  Based on what I have seen from her so far, I don’t think she will have a problem standing out at all.  Be on the lookout for my report on her after the showcase. 

Skopljak will feature for Madfrog 16’s N Green in the 16 Open division this week in Dallas. Originally a middle, she’s been spending some time on the right this season and the change has allowed her to develop other areas of her game. When used in the middle, Skopljak is capable of offering major contributions on both sides of the ball. Her offense is probably the highlight of her game as she’s capable of hitting different sets in the middle at a very high level and has the confidence and the skills to put the ball down in key moments. She’s also an excellent blocker, a trait that helped her transition to the right.
