About Mia

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am focused on being a reliable passer and defender. I am always pushing to keep the ball at play & I'm a quick thinker and agile. Also a great communicator.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am a passionate, positive person who loves working hard. I'm very determined to reach my goals in school and in volleyball.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am involved in school choir. I've received the solo and ensemble medal in advanced Choir two years in a row. I have received the Presidential education achievement award.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have learned that hard work, commitment and communication is the best way I can be a better person and a teammate. Hopefully this will guide in the right path for my future.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I am the youngest of three in my family. I have two brothers. One of my brother’s is autistic. He is the sweetest and best brother a girl could ask for. But he views the world differently and many people view autism harshly. It breaks my heart when he is miss judged or bullied. I will always have his back and be his biggest cheerleader but it’s not always easy.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college that gives me the tools to advance my education and allows me to play volleyball.
