About Georgia
Expert Analysis
Jesse Etter | Prep Dig Scout
Depiano is continuing to develop and grow her game in the middle. Playing this club season for Emerald Rain , the Auburn Riverside junior is physical and decisive at the net. Depiano’s 6’2″ length is hard to handle for attackers, and her arm swing is quick and powerful. She is now hammering a clean, flat jump float serve that knocks teams out of system, and her defense has been strong behind it.

Georgia Depiano was determined and gave a 110% throughout the showcase. She is shy but outgoing once comfortable and has a strong presence on the court. Fun fact, her favorite meal is a Jimmy John’s sandwich. Georgia’s dedication and determination drove her to excel in every game of the night. Her unique blend of shyness off the court and assertiveness on it makes her an intriguing and effective player. Michelle Bamford @ PrepDig

DePiano plays in control and with balance, she is fundamentally sound for a young middle and does not make an overabundance of mistakes. She has solid footwork patterns to attack behind and in front of her setter and takes a healthy swing that will pin ball off of the block. DePiano uses good eye work to anticipate the play across the net when she is blocking. She will commit hard to a side if the play is inevitably headed that way. Her high volleyball IQ and attentiveness carry over offensively, where she is able to see the block and attack off or around the defenders.
