Gia stands out as one of the premier outside hitters in the gym, showcasing exceptional athleticism and raw power in every play. Her warm-up routine alone leaves opponents mesmerized, as she effortlessly bounces the ball to astonishing heights. Gia’s full-body approach generates maximum momentum for her swings, ensuring each hit packs a punch as she expertly connects with the ball’s apex. What sets Gia apart is her ability to make the game look easy by blending power and finesse in every move.

One of the best things I saw Gia do all weekend was in the championship match against Vision. It was match point and Gia was on the outside. In her first attempt, Gia swung the ball towards the line but was blocked by the middle. Despite the setback, the ball was covered by her team, and the setter immediately returned it to Gia. This time, Gia attempted a line shot, but once again faced a block. Undeterred, she persisted, and on the third attempt, Gia adjusted her approach, aiming for the seam. Despite being blocked again, Gia’s determination remained unwavering.

Though the game ended with that block, Gia’s relentless spirit was evident as she continued to give her all until the very last moment. She did not hang her head instead, she patted the back of a team who attempted to cover the ball. Even in defeat, Gia’s sportsmanship shone brightly as she applauded her opponents’ efforts, embodying the spirit of potential collegiate-level play.
