Emma Adams | Prep Dig Scout
Elgarico has continued to rise in stock with each update and is finishing her prep career as one of the top 2025 middle blockers in the state, according to the PrepDig Oregon rankings. She gives the word explosive a new meaning, displaying impressive hops to get off the ground quickly. While I do not have her exact vertical jump measurements, there is no way she is not touching over 10 feet. Also one of the state’s top beach players, she exhibits top-notch court vision and IQ, which aids in her ability to score.
Elgarico has committed to play beach for the University of Oregon, though with her skill I could see her walking onto the Ducks indoor team, if that is of interest to her. Go Ducks!
See Elgarico in her final high school season with the Marist Catholic Spartans.

Previous rank: #21Why the rise? If we were to compile a ranking for beach volleyball, there is no question that Elgarico would be at the top. A recent Oregon beach volleyball commit, she is a dominant sand player. But her impressive play for Marist this past high school season proved she is just as dominant of a court player. Her transition from the middle to the pin allowed her to flex her ability to play six rotations. As bouncy and athletic as they come, she was relied on heavily during the State finals to put the ball away. With a match-high 28 kills, she was incredibly efficient with 60 swings, hitting an impressive .367. While she has committed to Oregon solely for beach, if the Ducks are looking for a versatile and athletic attacker for their court team, Elgarico could definitely fulfill that role.

Elgarico is a dynamic attacker, hitting from the outside for Marist Catholic and playing out of the middle for the NPJ 16 National team. An avid beach player, Elgarico’s athleticism and versatility earned her 4A all-state honorable mention accolades last fall. She is a quick and explosive attacker with a whip of an arm, burying the ball consistently and moving her attacks around the court. Whether she is playing on the pins or in the middle, Elgarico will continue to be a weapon for any team she’s on.

Although Elgarico is a bit undersized for a middle, she used her athleticism and impressive vertical to contribute to the NPJ Salem 16 National’s 10th place finish in Open at Regionals. As a top beach player, Elgarico is super athletic, fast, and bouncy on the court, able to move quickly between blocking, transitioning, and jumping incredibly high to detonate on a ball. Elgarico also has great court vision and is able to see holes in the court, an ability she used well to make point-scoring plays during Regionals.

Returning from the NPJ 15-1 team, it is assumed Elgarico will see a similar role as she did last club season as one of their middle blockers. Her approach is explosive, and her swing is quick, consistently getting on top of the ball. Also, she is dynamic and versatile, with the ability to play any position across the front row at a high level. This last high school season with Marist Catholic, she played on the outside.
