About Grace

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I would describe my gameplay style as aggressive, and driven. I am a reliable passer, playing all around on the right side. I am a consistent server, and bring out the most of my skill as a strong right side hitter.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I would describe my personality as an outwardly very quiet and shy person, but once I am with my team/group of people, I am very strong minded and directive with my words. My mentality is strong, I approach challenges with a secure, calm, clear head. I am resilient and determined, and once I set my mind to a goal, I will do what it takes to reach, or surpass that goal.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am not currently involved in any other clubs then volleyball, but I have received multiple, highest honors awards, and presidential awards.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have developed qualities of leadership through standing out on the court as a vocally and physically, strong Freshman on Varsity during my High School season. Throughout my club I am recognized as a leader, especially for our age group, and I was considered by parents and teammates alike as the captain on my 15 Nationals team.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I have faced the challenge of living 50 miles away from my club, and commuting over 1 hour, from 3 to 7 times a week. This is significant because I have to manage my time, academics and overall health while most of my free time is spent driving to and from late night practices.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college that wants me as a part of their program, and a college that I want to be a part of while being proud to call that place my home. I am looking for a college that has a strong business program and strong volleyball program. I am also looking at overall campus life and the life around the campus as part of the process in finding the best overall fit.
