Cassandra Reno Cassandra Reno 5'8" | S West Park | 2028 CA showcased control of tempo and offensive managed offensive tempo with consistency, generating balanced distribution while keeping her hitters engaged across all phases. She adjusted her set location based on block and defensive positioning, allowing the offense to stay efficient rather than predictable. In transition, she maintained composure and made controlled decisions that sustained flow, especially in tighter moments where her communication and leadership helped stabilize the group.

Her next phase centers on improving consistency through quicker footwork and better balance to the ball, particularly when operating out of system. Cassandra described steady growth across the weekend and set a clear goal, reverse the flow by staying engaged, getting her feet to the ball, and creating consistent opportunities for her hitters. She believes she did that, helping her team execute cleaner and compete at a higher level as the tournament progressed. Next, she is focused on better identifying the best option to side out and score in each setting situation, a decision making skill that elevates both the setter and the entire offense. Off the court, she takes pride in discipline and work ethic, and she finished her first sophomore semester with a 4.0 GPA, balancing academics and athletics with consistency.

Cassandra’s next tournament is the NCVA Power League Qualifier, January 31 to February 1.

Her leadership shows in her ability to run a balanced offense, make quick decisions, and adjust under pressure. This summer, she worked on reading blockers faster, disguising her sets, and strengthening communication with her hitters to keep defenses guessing. “As the setter, I get to decide what works best for my team to win the point.” Known as a supportive player who leads by example, Cassandra is set to guide West Park into the season with a strategic, composed style that elevates every rotation.

Cassendra Reno is set to compete tonight at 6:00 PM at the USAV GJNC Showcase, held at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas, Texas. She’ll be wearing Bib #35 as she takes the court.

Standing at 5’8” with a 4.0 GPA, Cassendra brings a potent blend of athleticism, discipline, and strategic thinking to the floor, qualities that shine through in both her play and leadership. Her ability to make quick, smart decisions while managing a fast-paced offense reflects a maturity beyond her years, and it’s no surprise that her vision and volleyball IQ have already caught the attention of college coaches.
