The outside from Freeman High School will jump up into the 18 Open with RVC 17 Kari this weekend. She had a terrific PNQ with her Renovators 16 Paloa team, playing terrific defense out of the middle back and working the line for kills as an attacker.

Van Gemert patrols the outside and the middle back for her RVC Jake 15 team. She is quick in transition with good footwork to get off the net and be available for her setter. Van Gemert has a quick arm and she attacks the deep corner effectively, then the Freeman freshman will cut a ball to the angle when the defenders adjust. She moves easily defensively and has the athleticism you want to see from a six-rotation outside.
