About Hailee

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am consistent, with a calm and confident presence that my teammates and coaches can rely on. (I switched from OH to S/RS during my 13s year, helping to lead my team to a 2nd place finish at AAU Nationals that year, where I was awarded an AAU All-American title). As both a hitter and setter, I hit with low errors and high efficiency. (Named to the 2030 Watchlist by huskersvbnation on Instagram).

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I play with focus and a smile to provide both a competitive edge and energy that uplifts my teammates. I work hard and strive to be coachable, positive, and take feedback well.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Clubs and Organizations: HOSA-Future Health Professionals, Youth Group, Track and Field. Awards: Principal's List and Student of the Month.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

From experience as a team captain and leader on the court, I have strengthened my proficiency in court awareness, performance under pressure, decision making, leadership, and communication skills with coaches, teammates, and officials.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Hurricane Helene flooded my room with 4 feet of water. It's been an ongoing battle to be allowed by the county to fix our house. I'm learning that you have to research everything for yourself to know your rights & that education is an ongoing pursuit throughout life. How fitting that the mascot of my future high school is The Hurricanes; I truly know how powerful they are... and I know I am, too.

What type of college are you looking for?

I would love to play for a college that competes at a high level, with coaching staff that is driven and mindful of injury prevention, and with teammates that are focused (on and off the court) and dedicated to contributing to an uplifting and winning team culture.
