Heytvelt, the #2 middle blocker for the class of 2024 and a Campbell University commit, is a super tough, athletic, dynamic player with tons of offensive and defensive prowess. Playing for OJVA 18-1, Heytvelt puts up a big block that proves hard to hit around. She also manages to find open court consistently when attacking.

Heytvelt’s progress over the past three years has been impressive to watch, as she has moved up to the #2 ranked middle blocker for the class of 2024, thanks to her solid vertical, quick arm swing, and solid block. Heytvelt has been a huge part of the La Salle offense, and received Northwest Oregon all-league second team honors this past fall. Although Heytvelt is an unstoppable middle blocker both offensively and defensively, she is also an incredibly versatile attacker, evidenced by her ability to play effectively on the right side for the OJVA 17-1 team during this recent club season. Heytvelt will be one to watch this fall.

Heytvelt has transitioned to the right side this season with OJVA 17-1 Gold and has proved indispensable to this team, both offensively and defensively. She can effectively score from the right side, putting the ball away down the line or sharp cross-court. Standing at 6’1” with a decent jump, she is formidable as a blocker. Creating a wall, she shut down even the toughest of opponents over Regionals.

Heytvelt is an absolute powerhouse from anywhere on the court. Given her physicality, height, vertical jump, and athleticism, she proves deadly from any attacking position. Although she has been the primary middle blocker for this group the past two club seasons, she may take on a different role this season. With an ability to obliterate the ball down the line or cross-court from the right side, she makes for an incredibly lethal right-side hitter. Her lights-out blocking from the middle translates well on the right side and allows her to consistently shut down the opponents outside hitters.
