As the “other” outside at Southwood this past season, Hali’s ability to shoulder some of the offensive load during another highly successful season produced yet another 30-win season. From relative obscurity to full-time, six-rotation outside hitter in a matter of a calendar year, Hali is well on her way to turning heads in the recruiting game.

Although found at a smaller-than-average regional club, Hali is a solid pin attacker that can terminate well from both the front and back rows. Her high attack point makes her look taller than she actually is, which is nice to have at the collegiate level. I’d like to see a little more floor defense and serve receive from her to round out her skill set, but for now, her attacking will suit her just fine for a small college looking for a versatile outside hitter.

Need a complementary outside that can terminate? Hali’s your girl. With long arms showing a high attack point, she’s perfect opposite Kentucky commit Shania Rhamy Shania Rhamy 5'8" | OH/DS/L Southwood | 2027 State #100 Nation IN , whom a great number of defenses have tried and failed to stop. If Miss Rhamy errs, however, Hali’s right there to pick up the slack, with a high and hard attack to help Southwood.

An up and coming attacker from Southwood, Hali recently attended our Stock Up Showcase a couple of weeks ago and made her presence felt. Explosive on her jump and attack, Hali regularly ended drills and points with her ability to terminate. On defense, she’s adept at the net and reads hitters well, while also reading and reacting better than most outside attackers in attendance. Southwood is known for having their first SEC recruit in volleyball EVER, but Hali will definitely keep opposing defenses honest with her abilities, making her high school one of the dark horses to win the 2A title this fall.

I was NOT prepared for this young lady to be what she showed us yesterday. For a couple of years now, I’ve identified her fellow high school outside, Kentucky commit Shania Rhamy Shania Rhamy 5'8" | OH/DS/L Southwood | 2027 State #100 Nation IN , as the only attacker for Southwood. Hali is CLEARLY another option on offense for the Knights, and showed us why. With a high jump for an attack that hits all angles, Hali hits a heavy ball over smaller blocks and off of undisciplined blocks. Despite her size, she is not a liability when blocking, and reads well against the attackers she’s blocking. Once the scrimmage portion of the showcase began, we got to see what Hali’s all about. Relentless, strong and terminal, Hali will make defenders think twice this fall when Southwood comes to town.
