Norvell does a great job smoothly directing sets to the targets. She made an impressive dive one a play against Pulaski County, which led to a kill. She mixes in setter dumps and wins jousts at the net.

Norvell excels at about every aspect of the sport. She does a lot of setting, but can be a hitting option for the Warriors as well. Her versatility helped her land a scholarship to the University of South Alabama of the Sun Belt Conference. She does what it takes to find holes on the other side of the floor or put her teammates in position to do so. She has great all-around form leading to great shots from the front and back rows. She has a solid jump and can make nice mid-air changes to attacks. She can back tip balls and do a number of sets throwing in some setter dumps to keep defenses honest. She has a solid low line drive serve to throw off defenders and puts herself in great position to record blocks.

Norvell leads the list having posted three solid seasons on varsity for Southwestern excelling at every aspect of the sport. Norvell did a lot of setting for the Warriors last fall, but continued to be an option hitting with the emergence of a freshman there. Norvell’s versatility landed her a scholarship to the University of South Alabama of the Sun Belt Conference. Where there is a hole on the floor, Norvell will do what it takes to send balls there or even set up her teammates to do so. She has good all-around form leading to hard hits from both the front and back row. It’s hard to predict where her shots are going. She has an excellent jump off the floor and can make nice mid-air adjustments. Norvell even angles balls off blockers when necessary. As a setter, Norvell can reach into the air and back tip balls. She can do all kinds of sets including back sets. She can also throw in sneaky setter dumps. Norvell puts herself in solid blocking position reading hitters. Norvell also has nice low line drive serves that throw off defenders. Norvell had 363 kills, 18 solo blocks, 25 assisted blocks, 514 assists, 291 digs and 94 aces helping the Warriors to a 12th Region semifinal appearance last year.
