Found on the 18-2 at Academy, Harper is a heavy-hitting middle who will do best as the M2 on a squad with a strong and experienced setter. Broad-shouldered and strong, Miss Holden takes up space on the block with ease and uses her long strides to defend from pin to pin. On offense, she uses her brute strength and occasional finessed vision to terminate, all while being a highly coachable and high-character teammate.

In the 18 Premier division, Miss Holden and her Academy 18-2 squad also finished second in a division filled with tough competition. Harper hammered all comers to the Mideast Power League a couple of weeks ago, and continued to do so this past weekend. An M2 through and through, Miss Holden is big and physical, and thrives when hitting in front of the setter in any capacity. She’ll even sprinkle in a few behind; her two-footed attack has perfect footwork and transition to go along with a heavy arm swing.

Big and physical, Harper has been one of my favorite kids in this grauating class. She’s highly coachable, smart, strong and more than willing to do whatever it takes to be on the court. Largely under the radar at Greenfield Central and on Academy’s 18-2 squad, having an experienced, six-foot athlete in the middle still available at this time of year is a blessing, and so is she.
