Holly Ratcliffe Holly Ratcliffe 5'4" | DS/L Magnolia West | 2027 TX , a Class of 2027 libero and defensive specialist from Magnolia West High School and Texas Legacy Volleyball Club, is a back row competitor who has earned her place on the Watch List by producing results in a UIL 6A program that competes in one of the more physically demanding districts in the Greater Houston area. Miss Ratcliffe plays with the compact quickness and lateral burst that makes her difficult to score on regardless of how hard a team is serving or attacking, and her platform consistency gives her offense a reliable foundation to build from on every possession. Her reading ability is particularly worth noting because she anticipates attacking patterns rather than simply reacting to them, which puts her in position early and allows her to make difficult plays look manageable rather than heroic. Ratcliffe will be with the Texas Legacy 16 Adidas team that is entered in the 16 Liberty division. A very agile player, she will be seen making acrobatic digs as she works hard to keep the ball off the floor. Ratcliffe has excellent ball control and often manages to deliver perfect digs to her setter when she needs to dive to get to the ball. The libero is also very confident in serve-receive and typically covers a large portion of the court, freeing her hitters up. She also sets very well from the backcourt, even using her hands when comfortable.
