Austin Kingsley | Prep Dig Scout
We shouldn’t be surprised to see Paup making an appearance among the state’s top blockers. She has been a frontcourt force since her freshman debut with Central City, when she produced 0.7 blocks per set for the Bison. Paup has upped that average to 0.9 in 2025, and she is also on pace to soar past last year’s kill total, too. We’ll have a prominent small-town theme for this feature, so we had to get Paup involved in the action.

Let’s close out with a small-town star. Paup is an imposing athlete who has racked up triple-digit kills in both underclassman seasons with Central City. It’s no surprise to see her operating at a similarly elite level with South Central NE 16 Red. Paup can put down quick balls in front of the setter or adjust to slower tempos in first-ball situations. Her upward trajectory could put Central City in the postseason hunt later this year.

Let’s hang out with the small-town stars a little longer. South Central NE is always a safe bet when looking for the next wave of game-changing attackers, and Paup has that takeover potential for 16 Red. The Central City sophomore put away nearly 200 kills for the Bison last fall, setting the stage for another breakout campaign with South Central NE. Paup can generate indefensible angles on the middle quick or spread the offense on the slide. She’s due for another uptick in production as she becomes an upperclassman.
