About Hope

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

My gameplay style is very strategic. As a Libero, I have to focus on several elements when reading the ball. I have to anticipate my opponents' moves and adjust my tactics based on the situation. Of course, it takes a an entire team, and I enjoy balancing teamwork with independent decision-making.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am very goal-oriented, and it is important to me to set goals for myself and hold myself to a high standard. I put in extra work to help meet those goals such as private lessons, training sessions, and college research.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I received the Leadership award from my school. I have also earned community services hours by helping with political work and volleyball.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have developed leadership skills through my role on my volleyball team at school and club. I have also learned to communicate better and more effectively.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I am a twin and was born prematurely leaving me with a learning disability. It has been difficult not only to process directions on school assignments, but also in volleyball. It takes me longer to comprehend things, so I have to work twice as hard as most people, but I have managed to maintain good grades, a high GPA, and move up levels in volleyball every year through hard work and perseverance

What type of college are you looking for?

I am open to a variety of colleges including different conferences as well. I would love to play somewhere that challenges me to be my best most athletically and academically. Most importantly, I am looking for a college that has a degree program that I am interested in.
