Imogen Berus hopes Summer NIT gives people a chance to see something she already knows about her team.

While many athletes focus on individual goals, Imogen keeps her mindset on her teammates. The competitiveness of her group, the chemistry they have built, and the opportunity to prove that strong volleyball exists outside of the clubs people hear about most often.

As a setter, leadership naturally sits at the center of her game. Communication, energy, and bringing people together are all qualities she values. Summer NIT simply provides a bigger stage to showcase those strengths against teams from across the country.

Her perspective on recruiting reflects the same mindset. She understands the process takes patience and persistence, and she hopes this weekend helps open new doors for both herself and her teammates.

Although it isn’t going to be easy and there is most likely going to be challenges that you face, it is crucial that you continue to pursue and work hard no matter what.

That reflection feels fitting for an athlete who focuses on belief, not only in herself, but in the people around her.
