I have had the chance to see Ferraro a few times now and each time it was clear she was destined for big things. She recently committed to Lehigh, and there is little doubt she will do great things at the next level. But before she heads off to college, we get one more prep season to watch her at Edina, where she is not only a captain, but a leader and consistent point generator. Ferraro brings a presence to the court that makes an impact well beyond the stat sheet, and she should be a big piece of Edina’s success this fall.

When I saw Ferraro play for the first time this spring, I realized quickly that she is a really offensive minded attacker who loves to be involved and is always asking for the ball. Her solid vertical and quick arm swing make her a threat at the net, but what really stands out is her ability to see the court. She does a great job recognizing where the open space is and knows when to tip, push the ball to the corner, or take a big swing. While she excels in the middle, she is also comfortable (and effective) when taking big swings on the right side. She plays with confidence, competes hard, and is always aggressive.

Ferraro is a strong middle hitter with a high point of contact that allows her to attack effectively over and around the block. She demonstrates solid attacking angles and a quick arm snap, making her a reliable offensive threat. She is also a force on defense as she reads the opposing teams offense well and positions herself effectively, enabling her to put up a solid block. Her awareness and athleticism at the net contribute impactfully on both sides of the court.
