About Isabella

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

My gameplay style is aggressive and focused. I approach each match by being prepared both physically and mentally. I take every practice seriously to help me become a stronger player. I take time to rest my body and study game film. During the match I am smart with my swinging and disciplined with my blocks.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am a positive teammate, cheering others on and taking ownership of my own plays. I have been a team captain of both my highschool and club teams. I love to have high energy and celebrate.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am a class officer for my grade in highschool. I am also a varsity track athlete, with conference honors and hold 3 school records. I am a dancer and have been dancing at Encore Dance Academy since I was 3 years old. I have received academic honors for the last 6 trimesters of highschool.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have developed leadership skills while being a team captain and a class officer. I work well with others and I acknowledge others strengths and help support them when needed. I have helped work at many volleyball camps for our middle school players. I volunteered in Seymour to help clean up storm damage after a tornado. I also volunteered to help children in the city wide track meet.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I have had trichotillomania (hair pulling) since I was 1 year old. This has caused challenges in my life such as being bullied for having bald spots on my head, I had to find ways to stop myself from pulling my hair and find different ways to deal with my anxiety in a healthier way. As I have grown up, I no longer have bald spots but it is still something I have to work on every day.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a 4 year college in the midwest, with a wide variety of majors because at this time I am undecided. I am considering something in science or business.

She seemed to have this innate ability to know when and where she was needed, especially in scramble or out-of-system situations. She was always aware of where her teammates were. Isabella is a talented athlete whose intangibles elevate her game to even higher levels.
