About Isard
Expert Analysis
Bob Abels | Prep Dig Scout
For her high school team Isard hits outside and leads the team in kills. Despite her 5’9″ height she also stands out with her blocking sitting third on the team in that category. Her six rotation excellence is shown by the number of digs she makes on defense as well as the passes she accounts for in serve receive.
At 5’9″ she is a bit undersized for an outside, especially when playing at the higher levels. For club, she takes that high volleyball IQ for hitting and applies it to the libero position. For Isard it is just another position for her to excels at. Because of this versatility she rises in the rankings from 89 to 69.
Again, love her spirit on the court. She clearly acts as the team leader, keeping everyone in the game. While she did make a number of service errors in one of the matches I watched she still finished second on the team in aces. That clearly shows her aggressiveness on the court.

Love her spirit on the court. The coach trusts her as floor captain and she stands her ground. She plays libero/defensive specialist for her travel team but the Gladiators use her to hit left side.
She leads the team in kills and despite her small stature ranks third in blocks. Six of her blocks are solo blocks. She also ranks third in aces and third in digs. She may need to work a little more on her service accuracy. Since most of her service errors appear to go deep perhaps serving from area 1 to area 1 (across the court) might lesson some of those errors.

When I first saw Isard play I believe she hit left side. That earned a spot on the rankings. At 5’9″ she has switched to a libero/DS. She appeared in our National showcase in Las Vegas and the DMV Stock up showcase in Maryland and looks solid as a libero. That pushed her up from 92 to 86 in our 2026 rankings.
For her high school she still lists as an outside. She will be playing with her younger sister Aran Bernades, who made the team as a frosh..
