Not only does she attack with confidence on the pin, but she is also very poised in her service game. Ivanna’ pre-serve defensive preparation and readiness give her a great advantage at reading seams and reacting when necessary to keep the ball off the ground. Her passes are directed to the setter’s box; she pursues the ball with great effort and this Sophomore hasn’t even scratched the surface yet. Ivanna Aparicio Ivanna Aparicio 5'7" | RS Legacy | Northwest Career & Technical Academy | 2028 State NV is an astounding Freshman, competing on varsity for the Longhorns and her hustle sets her apart in several ways. Ivanna is very active on the offensive side and through 49 sets played, she has racked up 32 aces, 64 digs, 117 service receptions and 37 kills, some of which were timely and impactful for the Longhorns! Ivanna will continue to grow in the the game and we look forward to what’s coming. Keep competing Ivanna!

Ivanna was an impressive pin hitter, especially on the opposite side. She has a strong approach that garners a lot of power behind her swing, enabling her to hit a deep cross court shot that is difficult to return. In addition, she puts up a great block against her opponents top outside hitters. She is very aggressive on the net and when she rotates to back row, you get the same intensity. She was solid on defense back row, especially right back, and earned some kills hitting the pipe set. She is a top all around player in her class and plays at a high level.
