About Jacey

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

With a very high volleyball I.Q. I always try to swing aggressively and smart. I have grown up in the gym and keep working on fine tuning skills to stay in a good position to swing even on out of system plays.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I have grown up in a gym with my mom coaching and teaching. I have experience to bring to my team, and I am very level headed and collected during matches. I play aggressively while being under control. I always look to score during a rally, but also know when to hit smart as opposed to hard.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I participate in volleyball, basketball, track, FFA, 4H, DECA, Key Club, Quiz Bowl, and student council. I was awarded the top 20% award at International ICDC in my DECA project last year. I am a member of Setter Vision, and help put on youth camps as well as coach youth leagues in Gering.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I am a great teammate always trying to pump up and be encouraging to my teammates. I am on the Western Nebraska Youth Advisory Council, providing input for the adults in our area on the needs of youth. I am great and connecting with people!

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I had Kawasaki Disease when I was three. Going through a sickness really can change the way you view the world and the things that you see as important. That time in my life really solidified a lot of my religious beliefs and how I hold the people near to me so close. I now have a passion for FCA volleyball camp!!!

What type of college are you looking for?

I am interested in studying Agriculture. I'd love a great combination of a competitive volleyball program along with being able to get a fantastic education.

She has found a new gear in 2025 and has added a wicked serve to her repertoire, too. Gering draws a tough opening-round matchup with Norris, but efficient sideout scoring should be expected.
