She has the hands and court awareness to set, but put her on the right side, and there’s an attacking piece there too. Last season, we saw her contribute well beyond assists, including matches where she took on a big defensive load. Grupe can impact a point from different spots on the floor, and she understands the game well enough to adjust to what her team needs from her. That versatility has kept Grupe actively involved as we evaluate the 2028 setter group.

Why do you want to play college volleyball? 

I want to play college volleyball because I’ve never pictured not. I’ve always wanted to play as long as I can.

What does your training schedule look like in-season and off-season? 

I lift, do vertical training, and skill work around my practice schedule.

What are your academic interests or intended major? 

I would like to major in secondary education. I want to teach high school math and business.

How do you balance school, sports, and your personal life? 

I try to focus on the moment. When I’m at practice I don’t bring my school or personal life into it.
