About Jaida

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a deceptive setter who loves to get my hitters 1on1s and open nets. I reverse the flow to allow my hitters more opportunities to rip the ball.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I stay mentally strong and composed, knowing how much one person’s mood can affect the team. I hold myself accountable, stay positive, and encourage my teammates through mistakes. Early celebrations are important to me, as they help set a positive tone for the team.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Being a captain I have learned more about leadership. Being a leader isn’t just rock paper scissors at the net, it’s way more. It’s holding your teammates accountable and helping them out of mental blocks, being the person people can look to and feel determined to win. I have developed my leadership skills greatly and plan on growing even more. Teamwork plays a key role in my teams success.
