Branson is back. The Shelton outside hitter was limited by injuries early in the 2025 calendar year, but she has returned to lift Shelton to another tournament appearance. The defending Class D2 champs are the No. 6 seed in this year’s D1 field, but Branson’s terminal arm will make Shelton a frontrunner yet again.

We had to include this newly minted Class D2 champion on our stock-riser list. Branson led the Bulldogs with 5.2 kills per set during the 2024 season and was somehow even more productive in the postseason. Her eight kills per set in the quarterfinal bout against Stuart set the stage for the best volleyball of Branson’s career. This dynamic outside hitter was the catalyst for a historic title run and has developed as a six-rotation force on the small-town scene. The upcoming club season should bring a few more moments for Branson’s highlight reel.

Branson knows when to take over a match. This Shelton High School star wielded incredible intensity and competitive fire in our showcases, and Branson ramps it up a notch on the club stage. She scored in so many clutch situations as South Central NE 16 Black made its repeat run to the Show Me Qualifier finale. Branson is the kind of hitter who won’t be denied when allowed to touch the ball. That includes her work in the back row, which is quickly becoming another strength in Branson’s arsenal. GJNC will be a suitable venue for Branson’s relentless pursuit of greatness.

Branson had already racked up plenty of accolades prior to the 2024 club season. She has been one of Nebraska’s leading scorers in each of her first two seasons with Shelton High School. Her state tournament experience is noteworthy. However, Branson has seemingly taken the next step this year as she led South Central NE 16 Black to another Liberty bid at Show Me. This small-town star has embraced the challenge of being a six-rotation asset at the outside hitter position, and Branson is ready to bring those all-around skills to Vegas.
