What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Definitely teamwork, learning to navigate different personality types on all the teams I’ve been on. Learning leadership from my outstanding coaches and team captains and using those skills at my part time job.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Yes. My height at the Middle Blocker position (5’8”) tends to label me as undersized but my ability to touch as high or higher than my 6’ plus peers is more important. Getting the opportunity to show my abilities in real life has been challenging.

What type of college are you looking for?

A place where different cultures are valued and appreciated, a place where I find community and the ability to take on my goals of becoming successful while continuing the sport I love.
