We had to get South Central NE 17 Black back in the conversation. Vavra brings all the physicality and power you’d expect from 17 Black’s middle blocker position. This new addition to the lineup has connected well with both her setters and can score over the top of opposing blockers. 17 Black tapped into Vavra’s strengths to make yet another run to the Show Me Qualifier championship match, and we can’t wait to see the small-town stars in Dallas.

Finally, we’re able to reunite with the new-look South Central NE 17 Black team. This small-town crew has given us plenty of thrills over the past couple of seasons, particularly at Kansas City’s Show Me Qualifier. Vavra joins the crew for 2025 and brings a ton of length and athleticism to the net. The Ord native put on a blocking clinic at the Midwest Power League and provided a spark at crucial moments in the tournament. 17 Black is eager to replicate past success and get back to its rightful place at GJNC.

South Central NE is bringing the heat today. Adding Vavra was a no-brainer, especially after watching her film from last fall’s high school season. This Ord middle blocker can put a lid on any attacker she’s matched up with. Vavra’s pin-to-pin closing speed is a major asset that bolster’s any team she’s on. Not only did she light up the scoreboard for Ord, but Vavra is bringing the same impact to South Central NE 16 Red. The 16s age group forms the cornerstone of South Central’s recent success, so we have a lot of small-town stars to address in the Class of 2026.
