The senior setter was able to make an impact every time she came off the bench in the team’s double sub and played a big role in their victory. Doty was very good with her playmaking, making good choices in her distribution and delivering accurate sets to her hitters. She also played good defense on the right, giving her team multiple opportunities to score in transition. The setter was pivotal in Tomball’s comeback to win set one, going on a long serving run at the end and putting her team ahead 24-23 with a clutch setter dump.

Very dynamic and energetic, Doty was among the most intriguing setters in action during the Top 250 Expo. Her game is very technically sound and there’s not really much to add to her game when it comes to handling the ball or playing defense – she can also play as a defensive specialist/libero. Doty also has a very positive and competitive attitude on the court, which makes of her a great teammate. I’m looking forward to watching her again during the club season.
