About Jayson

What's your biggest strength as a player, and how does it show up in games?

My greatest strengths as a volleyball player are versatility and mental toughness. As a young player, I learned that excelling in one position isn’t enough; proficiency in multiple roles is crucial. Versatility makes you more valuable to your team. Regarding mental toughness, mistakes are inevitable, but how you recover from them sets exceptional players apart.

What are you working to improve right now?

I’m currently working on improving my footwork for slides and ensuring that my hitting arm swings straight down, avoiding crossing my body.

What are you looking for in a college program?

I’m seeking a college program that prioritizes academics as much as sports. I want a place where I can learn and thrive.

Outside of your sport, what should coaches know about you?

I’m a competitor, I am dedicated and I am persistent in what I do.

What do you want to study, and what career interests you?

Psychology and criminology
