About Olivia

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I feel my gameplay style has a lot do with hustle and the determined mindset to always try to get the ball up. As a DS/L, I communicate and take control of the entire back-row when on the court.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My mentality on the court is to always move on from the next play especially if I made a mistake in the last play to just move on and prepare for what’s coming next. I am very coach able taking into account everything coaches tell me to fix. I also hype up friends on and off the court encouraging them when they feel down.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I have done tstreet for the past two years and I am currently on the 14-2 elite travel team. Outside of sports I have won straight A’s and A/B honor roll. I’ve also won a number of writing awards for my grade.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

In school I am in student council which really helped me get things done quickly and efficiently. In group projects I like to really make sure everyone has a piece to do so everyone contributes. I also feel that being able to work well with teammates on the court is extremely important to being a good volleyball player.

What type of college are you looking for?

I prefer a bigger school one that has a good sports and education program. I specifically want to go to San Diego state because that’s where my family lives.
