About Jeryn
Expert Analysis
Emma Adams | Prep Dig Scout
Hildenbrand has settled into the DS/L role over the past two years, which has allowed her to reach new heights. She reads the game well, which coupled with her fast defensive reaction, allows for a lot of productive defensive touches. She also has an aggressive jump float that drops. I was fortunate enough to have coached Jeryn at the high school level her freshman season and can attest to her fiery and competitive spirit that shines through on the court. Whichever program signs Hildenbrand is a lucky one.

Hildenbrand has focused primarily on her back row play over the last two seasons, and has cemented herself as a top DS/L in the class, according to the PrepDig Oregon rankings. Although an explosive left-handed attacker who dominated on the right side early in her prep career, she made the decision to hone in on her DS/L skills. She has an all-out mindset, exhibiting no fear in pursuing the ball, doing whatever is needed to stay in the rally.
Hildenbrand is currently not committed to a collegiate program.

Hildenbrand is one of the rostered liberos on NPJ Salem 17-1 National, and will be utilized as such as the team competes in the 17 National division at USAV Nationals. Hildenbrand reacts very quickly to the ball, picking up so many hard driven balls that seem nearly impossible to keep in play. Hildenbrand also has nice hands and can set well when taking the second ball out of system.

Hildenbrand, a defensive specialist/libero for NPJ Salem 17-1 National, is a consistent and controlled passer on serve receive. Not only is she skilled in the back row, but Hildenbrand is also a strong attacker, and held her own when she had to play right side on Day 1 with some of her teammates out.

Hildenbrand was a six-rotation force at Regionals for OJVA 16-1. Previously seeing court time as a defensive specialist/libero, with only seven healthy players, she was asked to play all around as a right-side hitter. Attacking, she flies and, with an explosive approach and a hammer of a left arm, can obliterate the ball. Her ball control skills are solid. She is incredibly speedy and scrappy.

Sophomore Hildenbrand is a talented all-around athlete. Although she came to the Expo listed as a defensive specialist, Hildenbrand has a powerful and strong left-handed swing that was rare to see among Sunday’s group of defensive players. She also has a tough serve that other athletes at the Expo found challenging to pick up, adding further to her repertoire of skills.
