About Jordan

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I have a reliable, aggressive, and fast gameplay style. I believe in strong communication on and off the court in developing a strong team culture.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am logical and practical in my approach to most things. I believe in building and fostering strong relationships with others. I am highly competitive in all things and work hard to perfect my skills.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I have been active with student government, black student union, and Kentucky Youth Assembly. I lead snack service for the Upper School and have been active with Girl Scouts for my service. I have volunteered at youth camps and programs as well.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have been inducted to the African American Recognition Program, the National Society of High School Scholars, KHSAA Academic Champion, SGA President for 2 years, chaired our homecoming committee, est. the volleyball club for middle school, helped create volleyball program for high school, served as team captain for my club and school teams, coached volleyball for 3 yrs with 2 year as champions.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I have lost two friends/teammates and their moms in a car crash when I was 12. It was devastating for me and my teammates. We bonded in ways we could never have imagined through our grief.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am most interested in a mid-size school in an urban area that offer high academic programs with a competitive volleyball program. I would also like a mostly on-campus residence, and an active campus life and co-curricular offerings.
