Expert Analysis
Michael DeLeon | Prep Dig Scout
Jordyn came to Indianapolis with a Prep Dig Illinois official watch list designation and left with a Top Performer award that backed it up in person. The 5’4″ libero from Huntley competing with Top Flight 15 Elite was one of the most consistent defenders on the showcase floor throughout June 24th. She was bringing the kind of platform discipline and first-step read that makes a back row feel locked in rather than scrambling. Court coaches noted her lateral range and her composure handling pace from hitters she was seeing for the first time, and the way she communicated with her teammates across both the skill segments and the team scrimmage competition made it clear that her impact goes beyond what she covers on the floor. She competed with genuine energy from start to finish and carried herself with a sportsmanship and leadership presence that evaluators in attendance noticed as much as her technical production. Please help me congratulate her on earning Top Performer honors at this showcase.

Jordyn did a great job in the back row for her squad. Saw her dig some hard-driven balls, and she passed perfect 3s to her setter! She is always ready, active, and anticipating the play. Great positive energy and just carries herself well. The DS position doesn’t get enough love sometimes; happy to shed a light. Did a nice job in serve-receive as well and kept plays alive.

Jordyn is someone that you just have to like. She is energetic, always rooting and encouraging players, communicates loud and has the skill set to back it up. Passes well in serve receive and brings A+ hustle when on the court. She anticipates hits and tips well and is always on her toes ready to make that next play. Any team or back row would benefit from having her on there.

Jordan was one of those players who were always talking. Whether she was pumping up a teammate, saying “I got it” on the court, she was verbal. I saw her read and react well to tips and hard-hit balls. She was upbeat and ready to play, which, with a steady platform and good passes, made her a player who stood out at the showcase.

Very, very solid on serve receive, never seemed shaky and holds a stable solid platform on passes. She anticipates, and her feet are moving toward the ball on serves. You can tell she feels comfortable out there and has a nice feel on defense as well. Anticipation and reading hits are important and she does a nice job with that. Seems to have great feet and control over her body. She is someone you want in your back row.
