Monaghan has been utilized as both a libero and a defensive specialist for NPJ Bend 17-1 National this season and should take on one of those roles as the team competes in the 17 American division at USAV Nationals. Monaghan defends and covers her attackers super well, making impressive saves off blocks to keep the ball alive. She is also technically sound on serve receive.

We got to see Monaghan in action as the libero for NPJ Bend 17-1 National. Monaghan showcased really good court presence, energy, and strong communication at the tournament. She also reads opposing hitters well.

Monaghan is the primary libero for this team, and it’s no surprise why: She is a very technically-sound passer in both defense and serve receive, and she puts up excellent passes for Davis to run a quick and effective offense. Monaghan moves around the court quickly and smoothly to pick up digs and cover her hitters. Her skills in the back row will undoubtedly help this team maintain its early success this season.
