At 6’1, Mayfield brings the best length to her NKYVC team. A recent evaluation showed her improvement from earlier in the season as she is more assertive in her net defense to transition, which includes good movement to block and then finding the ball when coming off the net so she can pivot and make herself available to attack.

Mayfield (pictured) has a quick arm swing and a fantastic block at the net taking full advantage of her size. Mayfield finds ways to hit balls off blockers. She also runs nice fakes to pull blockers away from the other hitters. McNicholas head coach Darlene Tierney said she’s very positive on the court. She’s working on improving her quickness during club season.
