Her fall campaign was terrific as she finished 2nd in the GCL in total assists while guiding McNicholas to a state title. Schulte’s experience paid off in the win. Schulte had a number of big sets in the win including ones toward the net. Schulte does not lean on her sets so opponents do not know which way to block. She executes tandems well. Schulte adds in jump serves to different spots on the court with sizzle. Schulte said keeping Ryle out of system led to a lot of free balls that McNicholas took advantage of.

Schulte’s game just keeps getting better and better. She is becoming more complete in all phases including in bonus areas from primary setters such as defense at the net and in the back row, and in her ability to be more offensive in what she can do aggressively at the second touch. The confidence she shows in her own play with this team, that has some big offensive tools, helps to get the best out of them when they have opportunities from what she creates for them. They open up as the top seed in Power Pool C with great opportunity against teams from both coasts and in between.

Schulte leads the team in assists as they have production from two setters in this role this season. At 315 total assists, she is just shy of 6.0 a/s but is among the top three setters in the GCL. With tools to be able to command an offense full-time she makes a big impact through her opportunities to keep their offense scoring at a good rate.
