About Julia

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I like to defend and pass. I can swing anywhere on the court and also have a decent serve. I’m driven, confident, and have high expectations of myself. I’m a good teammate and work hard.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’m very driven & determined. When I put my mind to something I will finish the task at hand. I can be a bit bold and am not afraid to speak up. I work hard and am coachable.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I’ve been fortunate the last few years to always play up with older kids. This high school JV season is the first time I’ve played with a few younger kids. It’s nice to be a leader for them and show them the ropes.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

As a 7th grader I was determined to make C squad and asked our head coach if I could try it. This really wasn’t allowed but he liked my spunk and let me try. I ended up not making the team and was very upset. I reached out and thanked him for the opportunity and made note that if needed I would be ready. A day later a few spots opened up and I got to dress and practice for c squad.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’d love to be able to play all the way around swinging and passing. I’m still growing and hoping to reach 6ft like my sister.

Julia Fahl Julia Fahl Julia Fahl 5'10" | OH/DS/L Marshall | 2028 State MN is a freshman at Marshall High School where she is playing up an age division on the SWMNVB 16s squad who were final four finishers this past weekend.  I’ve mentioned before Marshall is a state power house in Minnesota and Fahl is next in line to be one of their key athletes.  The outside hitter knows how to score points.  She is terminal from the pin and plays with a fire.  She was consistently producing for her side of the net all weekend.
