Gillund is a really skilled setter who just has a calm, steady presence running the offense. I’ve watched her quite a bit, both with Minneota on the high school side and with SWMNVB in the spring, and she’s consistently reliable. She puts up a clean, hittable ball, keeps a nice tempo to the offense, and does a great job of getting her hitters all involved and contributing to the offense. In transition, she stays composed and does a nice job finding her middles when off the net, which keeps the offense highly effective and hard to defend. It’s no surprise that her teams have been highly successful with her running the court.
