About Julianna

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I'm an aggressive and smart outside hitter with great court awareness. I am a team player that strives to contribute to the success of my team mates. I play well under pressure and I focus on strategic plays that accomplishes an adding factor to help my team win.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I first want to say that the foundation of my who I am is Christ. I am because he is. I'm driven and a very passionate person. I'm focused and team oriented. I do my best to stay composed in challenging situations, while looking for opportunities to improve my craft. Having a positive mindset is something I work to maintain on daily basis by reading the word of God. I have a competitive nature.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Yes, I am in involved in the Beta Club at Stillwater Hight School. I have been on the A/B Honor roll.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have been playing Volleyball for 6yrs. Since playing volleyball I learned to be quick on my feet to make decisions that will contribute to my teams success. I have learned the importance of confidence and to believe in myself. In this sport have learned that communication is a great way to connect with my team mates and build lasting bonds that can impact me on and off of the court.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Playing volleyball has taught me how to stay resilient and tenacious. Through intense games and hard losses, I have learned to push through setbacks, make adjustments where needed, and to support my team mates all the while staying focused on the goal of winning. These experiences collectively have strengthened my mental and given me practical ways that I can use in all areas of life.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college that will allow me experience growth and success in the class and as well as on the volleyball court. A college that has a competitive program that places a value on teamwork, strong coaching, and player development. I desire to be in a environment that allows me to grow as an athlete and student while contributing the mission of the school I will attend.
