About Kadyn

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

As a player, I am always looking for more creative ways to score whether its finding a seam, tooling, or placing the ball. In back row, I try to stay calm and collected to execute good passes and effective back row attacks

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am a very driven person and I always am giving 100% effort whether it’s practice or a game. I always make it a point to be coachable as well and take feedback and apply it to my play.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have developed better leadership skills through coaching a 12s team. I am also a current captain on my team which allows me to step into that leadership role and execute.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college where I can pursue volleyball at a high level. I want to be able to compete while also studying.

Kadyn Angulo plays with a high level of awareness that allows her to create offense without relying on size. She reads the block in real time, identifies seams, and adjusts her attack accordingly, which is a key separator as the game speeds up.

“I am always looking for holes in the block… or spots to place the ball away from defenders.”

Her ability to process extends across her entire game. She stays calm in serve receive, applies pressure with her float serve, and consistently looks to make the best decision for the team.

Her mindset has shifted in a way that supports that consistency.

“I try to keep a next ball mentality… reflect, then move on and execute the next point.”

Combined with her training across indoor, beach, and strength work, she is building a well-rounded foundation that translates to multiple systems and roles.
