Kennadi Barbour is another talented 2030 who is new to the Arizona volleyball scene, and she has quickly given us plenty of reasons to keep watching. She has become a staple for the Desert Mountain program this season, stepping into a significant role as a freshman and already tallying an impressive 165 assists to date.

Barbour’s impact goes well beyond running the offense. She has been incredibly active defensively as well, already recording 82 digs, and she isn’t afraid to work to keep a play alive. That all-around effort and willingness to compete have made her a valuable presence on the court early in her high school career.

As a setter, her ball placement is rock solid, and she already shows an impressive understanding of how to run an offense. She can push tempo, connect with her hitters in different areas of the net, and does a great job keeping opposing middles guessing instead of becoming predictable. There’s a confidence and consistency to her setting that stands out, especially for such a young player.

Barbour has brought another dimension to the Desert Mountain offense, and the exciting part is knowing how much room she still has to grow. She’s already making an impact as a freshman, and we’re looking forward to watching what she accomplishes over the next four years in Arizona.
