About Kaia

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Small frame. Huge impact. I’m a fierce, high-IQ competitor with a vertical that surprises and defense that anchors. I hit hard, move fast, and read the court like a seasoned vet. Shifting my focus to DS/Lib, I work to bring relentless energy, composure under pressure, and the kind of heart that transforms teams. I love bringing my best and being a hypeman for my teammates and coaches.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’m competitive, coachable, and calm under pressure. I show up for my team with energy, grit, and a positive attitude—no matter what role I’m asked to play. I love pushing myself to improve and being the kind of teammate others can count on.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Off the court, I hunt mule deer and white tails with my Dad, play competitive lacrosse and was named Rookie of the Year 2024 and Defensive Player of the Year 2025. I’m an active DECA competitor and passionate about giving back—volunteering with autism support, raising awareness for Alzheimer’s and ovarian cancer, and finding ways to make a difference in causes close to her heart.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I’ve built leadership, resilience, and teamwork through sports, DECA, and community service. Supporting my cousin with profound autism has taught me patience and empathy, and I take pride in being a dependable teammate and a positive influence on and off the court.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Balancing multiple sports, academics, and family responsibilities has challenged me to grow in time management and mental toughness. Supporting a cousin with profound autism and coping with the loss of close family members has shaped my perspective and taught me to stay grounded, grateful, and focused—even when things are hard.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college with strong academics, a competitive volleyball program, and a team culture that values work ethic, character, and community. I want to be part of a program where I can grow as a player and a person, surrounded by coaches and teammates who push each other to be their best.
