and I will be sharing the training I do to become a better athlete!
First, plyometrics; plyos are very important to becoming a stronger and tougher athlete. Learning how to move your feet quickly after blocking and getting ready to transition off the net is important, which plyometrics helps with! Also, they can help you have a stronger and quicker arm swing when hitting. Plyometrics have assisted me in so many ways and made more powerful.
Additionally, get in some extra reps with private lessons! Club practices give you many reps, but private lessons do as well. With these exclusive lessons, you will get 1 on 1 coaching on what you specifically need to work on and you can practice it there! Coaches will let you know what they see you doing wrong and how to correct it; while having time to practice it and fix it! You can always get better, and private lessons will help you become a better athlete!
Lastly, nutrition and rest is key! After a long practice day, you need to get the right nutrition to restore all the energy you put into your practice(s). I know Chick-Fil-A® may sound great, but a nice meal with protein is what’s best! And especially what is most important is rest! At least 1 day off will allow you to relax and not get overwhelmed with too much practice!
