Cy-Fair’s second outside hitter also made big contributions to the team’s success, playing at a consistent level on both sides of the ball. Smith was excellent with her passing and her duo with Abad gave the Lady Bobcats a lot of stability. Offensively, despite not having Muoneke’s physical tools, she also did a very good job, finding good angles and smart solutions to beat Ridge Point’s blocking and defense, while also making very few errors. She also did a good job on defense.

Smith was another defensive standout in our event. She has good size and length and played a big role as an outside hitter for Cy-Fair during the last high school season, but will be on the backcourt with her club TAV, where she can make the most of her strong defensive game. Smith is great at reading plays and anticipating moves and always seems to be one step ahead of everyone else. She also plays with a a smile on her face and great energy.
