About Kate

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I’m a versatile front-row player who can contribute at both middle blocker and right side, giving lineups flexibility. As a high-IQ, strategic hitter, I score with power when needed but consistently find open seams with precision. Defensively, I’m a disciplined blocker with a 9’8” reach, applying constant pressure on opposing outside hitters with quick transitions and a team-first mindset.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’m a thoughtful, focused competitor who brings calm consistency to the court. While not the loudest presence, I’m highly observant and constantly reading opponents, tendencies, and match flow. I’m very coachable, trust the game plan, and pride myself on showing up in big moments when my team needs stability, execution, and composure.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Girl Scout Bronze and Silver Awards (2021 & 2022) National Charity League (2023 - present) DECA (2025 - present)

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Yes. When I first entered high school, I found it challenging to balance the demands of a top club team (especially frequent, open-division travel and national tournaments) with my academic workload. Over time, I learned to adapt my study habits, manage my time more intentionally, and choose classes aligned with my schedule, allowing me to excel both athletically and academically.
