Junior Kate Kennedy Kate Kennedy S State GA has climbed to the top of Georgia’s published assist totals with 821. That expectation changes the setter job. It’s one thing to run an offense trying to find its identity. It’s another to manage several legitimate weapons without allowing the offense to become predictable. Kate has to know when to keep feeding a hot hitter and when the better decision is using that hitter as a decoy to open somebody else.

What stands out most to me is the mental workload. The setter is making a choice almost every rally, and those choices start getting scouted. As Kate gains experience, the details—tempo changes, holding the middle, body position and knowing when not to get clever—become just as important as the assist total. ~ S.Fitzgerald @BenchtoBeast_prepdigga

Kate plays with rhythm and a refined feel for contact. Her swing is smooth, her footwork clean, and she never appears rushed even in high-tempo breakdowns. She’s a high-IQ pin who finds space, not just height. The way she controls her approach and maintains posture through contact? That’s projection material. She’s gaining traction for a reason. ~ Samantha Fitzgerald @BenchtoBeast
